What is Poverty?
Poverty can be defined as a lack, something we need but do not get. A lot of people think poverty is only a financial thing. Without financial security we are cast into a material poverty and our basic physical needs are not met. Poverty also includes the most debilitating type, Spiritual poverty. To be in Spiritual poverty is to be poor in Spirit. To be poor in Spirit is to lack a relationship with God. It is the mission of North Carolina Poverty Coalition to help the whole person. By uplifting the Human Spirit of those in need, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually, Support Us We seek support from the general public through donations / contributions. We accept cash, clothing, furniture, household items, vehicles, houses etc. that will be sold to further our cause. At this time all donations can be dropped off at our Donation Center/Thrift Store on Fridays from 12pm-3pm. Located at 106 S. Goldsboro St. Fremont, NC 27830. We no longer have pickup services available. |
